Why PDF Has a Bad Reputation

Some PDFs cause problems for ATS software because they're actually scanned images or exports from design tools (Canva, Photoshop) that convert text into graphical elements. In that case, the ATS simply can't extract the text: your resume is treated as a blank page, no matter how strong your content is.

Why DOCX Remains a Safe Choice
